What started as private “Flewt” lessons in 2002 became “Flewtstrings” in 2009. The whole idea of the name is to “string the arts together”!  Flewtstrings’ days are filled with designing and creating art and things handmade and also teaching music and art to fulfill the mission to encourage, and promote creativity. 

Flewtstrings is part of a movement to shop handmade. Shop local.  Shop fresh & homegrown.  To reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle.  Because if we don’t, we’re going to look back and wish that we did.  

This once small production in my home has now turned into my full time job. My studio is located in a refurbished mill building, where I share my creativity with over 150 artists and entrepreneurs. Everything in my shop is designed and created by yours truly.
